A very skillfully made piece from the Keswick school of industrial art KSIA ….Often referred to as the Temple jug it is in fact just a silver plated water jug but it is hand raised….The whole body has no seams and is completely worked in to shape with the hammer…..Not something many guilds would have done….or had the workers skilled enough to do it….Designed by Herbert Maryon…..Fully and correctly marked….The silver plate has produced a natural almost lustred darkened finish which I have left… C1900/10
