A beautifully crafted Lakeland arts and crafts serving tray from Stanley Webb Davies of Windermere…..In Walnut…..The piece is hand crafted with dove tail joins to corners with carved curving handles and angled sides….The whole with two simple bands of carved diamond decoration to the top of the long sides….The piece carrying the SWD monogram and dated 1936 is relatively early with a workers monogram for Ernest John Oldcorn…..In wonderful original condition and made for purpose…..Has been wax polished but would benefit from repeated waxing to create that deep patina of the wood….Fully marked C1936
