A beautiful early example of a Keswick school of industrial art brass photo frame….The worked brass panel mounted on to a hand made wooden frame with screws…..The brass frame showing classic early Keswick school designs….Showing Urns with floral displays with the first swirls of plants above the urns showing the green man…..A theme that runs through a lot of early Keswick work….The whole is in excellent condition….The back strut had to be replaced as the frame itself had been very neglected….I also had a cooper latch added to ensure the strut would last another 100 years….Wooden mounted Keswick frames are scarce…..Unmarked but the work is unmistakable….C1890/1900 placing it in the parish rooms period….
