A large wall mirror designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co…..Unusually in brass….The planished metal frame riveted at the cross joins….The metal is attached to the backing boards on the external edges by large head pins…..The large Celtic Knot to the centre top is deeply worked…The sides slightly tapered…..The glass plate is original….The wooden back boards and paper are original…..All the rivets and Pins are original…..The whole in beautiful antique condition now showing a very distinctive patina almost like aged leather…..It’s a beautiful statement piece….An identical one in copper is housed in the British museum…..C1902/3…..
