A very classic Keswick school of industrial art covered jug……The tapering body decorated with a fine repousse band to the neck…..The angled handle with spade shape attachment to the body with original rattan covering….The cover hammered and domed beautifully hinged to the body with a rat tail to the top with hammered thumb piece….…..Very fine back stippling to the design…..A piece you just know is by one of the top Keswick workers this being scratch signed by R.Temple….Fully and correctly marked for the KSIA….C1900 and likely to a design by Herbert Maryon…..And worked by Temple….Excellent condition…..High polish patina…
