A beautiful piece of Arts and crafts from the Newlyn school in Cornwall….The large copper mirror is decorated and worked with 5 large fish amongst seaweed typical of the guild…..The quality of the work is superb with deep repousse and delicate back stippling around the design….The worked copper frame is pinned to the original back…With a bevelled mirror plate…..All in excellent condition with very crisp detail to the work….Its the largest circular mirror from the Newlyn school that I have seen measuring 20” in diameter with a worked copper frame measuring 5” in width….Has been lightly cleaned and will patina evenly if left…..Unmarked but marked all over….Pre 1906…..
