1952-1982
Roger was one of the longest serving workers at the school in its post war years.A skilled craftsman in all metals especially silver and steel. I was fortunate to purchase two silver caddy spoons which he had made in his early years and they were that good they sold in a matter of days and are now housed in two of the best private collections of ksia in the country. Rogers 30years service was only interrupted for national service where he served in the Border Regiment. He left the ksia and went to work in Youngs furniture shop in the town. Married to June he has 3 children and is now happily retired. As a note Roger is one of the best dressed men in town always wearing a tie and smartly outfitted...
