John Robinson

1923-1956

John Robinson was born in Keswick in 1908 and joined the school in 1923 aged 15.He married Elizabeth Tallentire and they had two children Eric and Dorothy.John left the school in 1956 and went to work at the Borrowdale LRI for a period of time.While not working John enjoyed old time dancing with his wife.He was an accomplished greens bowler who played for the Greta Side Keswick No2 ring and won several trophies with them.During Johns time at the school he produced some amazing work some of which we have been privileged to see.He died in 1979
